Overview:
Come work at our Ranch on the beautiful east side of Zion National Park. Surround yourself with stunning views, unique experiences and growth opportunities. Receive training in our farming department with organic farming, floriculture, and aquaponics greenhouse. Our produce caters to our farm to table restaurant, Cordwood, where guests from around the world come to enjoy seasonal meals. On-site housing is available with a $2 daily maintenance fee and free employee lunch at our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the department manager, work as part of a team performing the following:
- Setting up precision cultivating systems, implementing paper pots, practicing no till farming
- Planting, irrigation, pruning, weeding, harvesting, organic pest control, tractor work
- Helping maintain our aquaponics greenhouse
- Interacting with guests and helping them create a connection to the garden through activities such as harvesting and creating a meal.
- Provides guests with the utmost respect and excellent customer service!
- Greeting and helping guests from all over the world
- Follows Zion Mountain Ranch operational policies and procedures, including daily tasks during each shift
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
Qualifications:
- Work for long periods of time outdoors
- Ability to learn quickly with a positive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Education and/or experience in the agriculture industry, not required but helpful
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Outgoing and friendly personality!
- Valid driver’s license
